Old Town Albuquerque, NM

This morning we worshipped at San Filipe Catholic church in the old town area of Albuquerque http://www.sanfelipedeneri.org/. Father said mass to a packed house - we arrived 5 minutes prior to mass starting and people were flowing over into the side areas of the church and out the doors.

Afterward we headed across to the Albuquerque Museum of Natural History and Science http://www.nmnaturalhistory.org/ and had a great time. The best thing about this museum was the New Mexico take on palaeoecology with its 'Dinosaur Century - 100 years of discovery in New Mexico' exhibit, and its exhibit about the development of computers.  Who knew that the very first computer was developed here in Albuquerque, or that Microsoft had its beginnings here?!

We wandered around the old town in the afternoon, stopping for a late lunch at a Greek cafe. Ken is having his siesta now as I type the blog! Tomorrow we head for arty Santa Fe ...

A shirt in a gift shop reads "Homeland Security - fighting terrorism since 1492". We thought this highly amusing.

Look at those tusks!

1953 computer - it took 13 procedures to turn the thing on!

Where can I get one!?!

Something interesting.
