International Spy Museum, DC

Benedict -

I had fun today.
The car that shoots from the boot, shoots from the lights.
I crawled through a tunnel.
The end

(The kids saw a James Bond car complete with machine guns and flashing lights, and razors coming from the hubs! You should have seen them jump when it started up unexpectedly! Fantastic!)

Oliver -

We went to the Spy Museum and I had fun.
We crawled through a tunnel. It was exciting.
We saw James Bond's car. It had guns and its number plate flipped.
Spikes came out of the wheel.
The number plate was JB007.

(Unfortunately we couldn't take any photographs inside. This place was great. A good mix of popular culture spy paraphernalia and real life/war time spy stories and exhibits. Once again we spent a good deal of time in a place we expected to stay only an hour or so.)

Afterward, we headed across the road to the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery and co-located American Art Museum. Of note, there was an exhibition "The Art of Video Games" that we headed in to see. This was a bit of fun and the kids enjoyed being able to play PacMan, The Secret Treasure of Monkey Island, and a game named Flowers.

With a reduction of the statue of the three bears that we discovered in Central Park NY.

enlarge this photo and see if you can make out the text! a bit of fun
