We enjoyed wandering through the home - it was huge. The height of the ceilings alone gave it a sense of grandeur. The outside is in a state of renovation, but it was easy to imagine it in its hey-day.

| Note the large wooden punkah (fan) suspended over the dining room table. A long rope was attached to it and pulled by a slave to move it gently to keep the flies off the food and the guests. |
